I met a guy in his 40s
he is a graduate
he used to draw a $6000 salary until he read robert kiyosaki book
on how to get rich without working like a dog

so he quited

and became a day trader trading SIMSCI (sg stock Index)
but was overcome by the lossess..

for a long time he seem to be doing nothing
and I could not figure out why the INACTION

one day my other trader friend ask him why dont he trade
he said trading small is not worth his time

he want to be able to min earn S$10,000 a month before he take action

Depends on what his current net worth is.
If it's in the high 6 figure or more, than perhaps he's just waiting for the big opportunity.
If it's in the low to medium 6 figure, he's taking a big risk.
Anything lower that that, he's just a fool.

hi guys! im trading dow jones. let me share a bit. last time before the financial meltdown when the margin was low. with around 100k usd and if that night market is going your way with 100+ pt. you can make 10k+ usd in a intra day. this type of market will occur few times a mth.

but for SIMSCI not much volume and interest. so how to make 10k a mth???

sometime got make a few hundreds in a intra day can relax liao. me mostly make 5 to 6 hundred usd i stop for the night liao. but sometime market chiong in my favor, i will make a killing before exit.

day trader is someone who dont hold position over night. so i really wonder how the hell he can make 10k in one day with SIMSCI??? no volume and share market also not much movement??? he got tua kan or not???

I know of many people who quit their job because they want to "get rich without working like a dog." Some make it, some do not make it. Interestingly, all those who make it (get rich) are women. Good looking women.

I also know of people who spend 4-5 years cramming in University until their brain almost burst. And then they graduate, and do not work a single day in their whole life. And they get rich. 99% of this group are young, pretty women.

What am I trying to say? Simple: this 40-ish man you are talking about, if he is not some Einstein or some Warren Buffet type, i'd say he is sh*t out of luck.

In life, nothing comes easy. Even Robert had to sleep on the roadside at some point in his life.

i think there is something very wrong with sg society. people do everything for money. including that guy trading SIMSCI! i do it because its my interest and i enjoy doing it. if u find it a chore, u might as well dont do it. because u wont last long enough until you succeed!

i read Robert books also, i find it not inspiring at all. only people with their brain stuffed with too much theories love those books. for people with tonnes of exp will find those books nothing but those motivation tools for sales person.

Hi you mentioned that those ppl whom succeeded without working hard are mostly women well are you implying that they succeeded cos u know they more or less prostituted themselves by marrying rich husbands for eg?

Re: "women....have superior intellect..." The most superior intellect is the one who attains the most profit/gains with the least expenditure/output. I cannot make it any clearer than this. That's why I believe women are smarter than men.

Robert is more of a spiritual/motivational leader and in due course, it's u yourself that's the matter! There's no free lunch in this world as I believe! Tell "your friend" that it sounds like he's still recovering from the shock of his previous losses.

"Your Friend" outwardly, seem very confident and like to talk about grand plans, but don't have the guts to execute them.

"Your Friend" likely has some passive income to survive on, just to make ends meet, that's why can talk about making the big time.

But please tell "You Friend" that thinking big is very different from actually rolling up your sleeves and making things happen.

And tell "Your Friend" that Rob Kiyosaki's pre-2008 hype died after the 2008 Olympics and he's been twisting his words in every subsequent edition of his books ever since.

That Robert guy's Rich Dad Poor Dad has turned into Rich Debts Poor Hut
