SIA missed a chance. Vistara should have been a standalone budget airline headquartered in Sinkieland, offering cheap flights to multiple locations in India. With some additional flights to nearby locations in SE Asia.
Considering the shifting demographics of this island, and the spending traits of those imported people, you will have a burgeoning demand for those flights.
