i need the 4th floor to have strong signal strength. do i need to buy another wireless router and open another adsl account for 4th floor?

thanks alot for advices and recommensations.

Try Cisco RE 1000.

Personally; I am using a Linksys RE1000 and an Apple Airport Extreme.

Make sure the booster functions at the frequency of your wifi network.

There's a better option. Use a powerline adaptor that taps the household wiring circuit to transfer Ethernet connection. Google TP Link Homeplug adaptor with wireless extender. There are also other makes, all avail at Sim Lim Sq or Challenger. Most computer shops will have.

But you got to make sure all your floors power socket outlets are on the same wiring curcuit, otherwise it wont work.

Normally if booster is intended for users in the same unit it should not be a problem as they are on the same electrical phase.

Guys, thanks for the advice.

I went to the IT mall and the salesman told me to get an access point and a antenna. But my router does not have any socket for antenna and I already have an access point which is the router (router provided by adsl telco).

I do not have any problem with range as I was able to access the access point 50-60 meters away. But not for height.

It's a little to complicated for me and so I am going to get another telco to install a new adsl line for the top floor. Also double as backup if one telco adsl line goes down.

Why stop at two accounts? If money is not an issue, get one telco account for each floor.
