Edit
If you look at the HDB web on flats for sale, you will notice that the
2-room flats have no demand. ie. Demand is less than Supply to the
tune of 261 units over the past months.
Gov announced recently that poor families will get additional discount
or subsidy of upto $20,000
With this extra discount, more buyers have turned up to buy the 2-room
flat. The current launch has attracted more buyers than supply.
Income ceiling is also raised so that some buyers may choose the
smaller flats.
Gov using discount (tax payer¡¯s money) to clear it¡¯s HDB stock in the
name of helping the poor.
Poor forecast of demand.??
