When yong tau foo seller at kopitiam display $0.60 per piece (because 'hand made' yong tau foo), minimum 6 pieces excluding noodles, but each piece is so tiny, is this not also robbing the customers?. Where got yong tau foo not hand made?

How come SINKIES all getting tuition for kids and want them to get degree instead of becoming hawker if it is so easy to make money as a hawker whom the writer claims is robbing customers by selling 60 cents per tiny piece of Yong Tau Foo?

i thought yong tau foo is mainly those cheap processed meat u find in supermarts like crab sticks,hot dogs,seaweed chicken and tau pok and lady fingers etc?

i want to know what is the allure of eating yong tau fu too,that shit looks simpler than my home cooking and my cooking is pretty shit.

Getting a higher education for kids has been an Asian (Chinese, Indian, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc) practice for centuries and such wisdom has been proven right time and again. Those who wishes to raise above the hoi Polly will always be those that are educated.

Earning money is totally different issue, for life is not just a matter of earning $$$.... so many, so many other aspects to life.

Some Singaporeans who are educated or even uneducated, bo pian, due to so many fucking fts around snatching up the jobs from first priority Singaporeans. Given the onerous business environment, high rental, numerous regulations to comply, etc, and of course the high costs of everything in Singapore, they have no choice but to resort to such low tactics of charging customers high for low quality stuff. Customers also have no choice as other hawkers also practise such tactics....lucky if we can find a hawker that can provide reasonably priced and good food nowadays.

It was NEVER said anywhere in this thread that earning money is so easy, or nor, not to have education!!!!
