PATTAYA - Two transgender women were seen running completely naked after a foreign tourist while swearing and demanding payment for their sexual services near Pattaya beach early Thursday morning.

According to witnesses, the pair were seen holding a brick, threatening the tourist and demanding money. The incident shocked passersby, with one witness managing to capture part of the confrontation on video.

Anucha Khotmad, 59, a Pattaya municipal officer, said he saw the two sex workers chasing an Indian tourist and shouting that he had assaulted them. Mr Anucha immediately stepped in and asked nearby business operators for towels to cover up the women.

The officer and several bystanders then intervened to prevent the confrontation from getting physical. The situation was eventually settled after mediation, with the tourist agreeing to pay the complainants 1,000 baht each before both parties went their separate ways.

Initially, neither side wished to press charges or file a complaint. However, authorities said the incident had damaged the image of Pattaya as a tourist city.
