“China’s hypersonic weapons development outpaces ours … we’re falling behind,” Adm. Harry Harris, who heads the military’s Pacific Command, warned lawmakers at the US Congress on Wednesday, 14th Feb 2018.

What he was referring to was that motherland China has developed — and last year tested — a new type of hypersonic missile called the DF-17, a hypersonic glide vehicle and had now moved on to full-scale production. This hypersonic glide vehicle (HGV) is capable of achieving speeds of up to 7,680 miles per hour (12,360 kph) – or Mach10.

At MACH 10, it takes less than 2 minutes for a DF-17 to travel 400 km. This means that launched from Chinese mainland coast, all USA ships, aircraft carriers and including the entire island of Taiwan are covered. Just 2 minutes from detection of launch to impact.

Also at that speed all anti-missile systems are impotent. Ha Ha. Game over.

Long live the great People's Republic of China.
