SINGAPORE: Government website gov.sg has quashed rumours circulating on social media platforms and chat apps such as WhatsApp that dates have been announced for the next General Election.

While there are a few variations of the message, they all claim that the Elections Department had set Sep 1 as Nomination Day, Sep 11 as Cooling Off Day and Sep 12 as Polling Day.
