The following are two nice speeches made by the WP on the Singapore Casinos. Policy wise, it is solid stuff. The call to retain the daily $100 levy while abolishing the annual $2k levy is spot on.

WP suffers from an image problem that it is quiet, meek and "not doing much". This is largely due to the fact that they have adopted a conservative approach of not using the new media to sell their policies and work. This is in sharp contrast to SDP which has invested a large amount of money and resources to have an aggressive new media presence. While you can criticize the content of what SDP puts out, you cannot dispute the positive impact it has had on SDP branding. Slowly but surely, SDP have repositioned themselves as being moderate and mainstream.

No party, PAP or OppO, has a good image. Period.

WP has a terrible image now given what they have been doing for the past one year. This spells their decline for sure and the results will show in 2016.

I have heard very disturbing things recently about a secret Pap-Wp dalliance...

Not from sources here.

It is better for WP to keep their mouth shut and just focus on their SMC and GRC.
