If the otah from this 38-year-old family business tastes similar to the ones from the popular Defu Lane wholesale outlet, that is because they are made by the same people.

Named after founder Molly Tay, 66, the shop churns out a variety of nonya kuehs, such as kueh salad and kueh pandan (40 cents each), along with four varieties of otah including the Nonya Spicy Fish Head Otah (from 40 cents per stick).

The hearty banana-leaf wrapped Nonya Nasi Lemak ($1.10) is popular for its sambal paste which takes nine hours to prepare. For the time-pressed, order the bites online at mollys.com.sg.

Delivery charges are $5 for a minimum order of $70.
