The Lonely Path of Democratic Dream
Most of the time I feel very lonely on my path towards my Democratic Dream. I envy Great revolutionists like Dr Sun, who might have been extremely lonely during his time especially so when he didn't have Facebook and the New Media to help him in propagating his values of Democracy of a Republic along with the ideal of Separation of Powers, but at the very least there were people in real life who supported him truthfully with funding and even their lives to help him achieve his Vision and Dream.
Of course, there were many more ambitious people and warlords who didn't believe any bit of his Democratic Dream and Values but only chose to on the waves created by him so to achieve their own hidden agenda of enriching themselves or even becoming the Dictatorial Monarch like Yuan Shikai!
Dr Sun's struggle more than a century ago still inspires me and also provides me good lessons on my own political struggle for a Truly Democratic Dream for Singapore. There will always be charlatans who will make use or hide under the guise of fighting for Democracy but in reality, they are more interested in achieving their self interests.
Most of the time, just like Dr Sun, we will be forced to collaborate with such people knowingly. However I have decided not to help those who are undeserving. It would be wonderful if I could find a few like minded fighters to travel together on this long journey but if I couldn't find any, I would rather walk alone on my own path, my own Democratic Dream.
