Since then, LKY never travel on road to KL for meetings, until the North South Highway is done, he travelled on the road to KL for the first time in many years.
So, it is GKS who come out of the idea of a clean break, and LKY used Gurhkas to protect himself, knowing that there are many people who are out for him, who is the trouble creator and got GKS to solve all the mess he created.
Leads me to wonder, GKS retired in 1984, so coincidentially LHL steps into politics? Was it some disagreement he had with LKY? Remember the times when Tony Tan, and Richard Hu, Dhana wanted to leave also?

GKS on first sight of LHL, knew he is retarded and someone, who eat mee siam with hum, not suitable for future PM. However LKY has hiddened agenda and opposed to his view aggressively thus the two clashed and GKS forced to resign. After many years, it proved GKS is right that LHL has indeed messed up Singapore causing tremendous inconveniences to the republic and its citizens. GKS has indeed good foresight. If he persist, LHL wouldn't be a PM and Singaporeans don't have to suffer so much.
