Firefighter saves woman from suicide with a kick to the head

A steel-nerved firefighter has saved a woman from an apparent suicide attempt, and the heroic effort has been caught on video.
The pictures show a woman in the Brazilian city of Fortaleza sitting precariously on a window ledge 10 stories above the street in what looks to be a potential suicide attempt.

After climbing onto the ledge, she pauses and appears to take a moment to pray, giving the firefighter abseiling down the building from above a window of opportunity.
The man, clad in an orange suit, quickly swings out from the building before hitting the woman in the face with both feet knocking her back through the window.
The decisive move raised gasps and then cheers from spectactors below when they realise the potential tragedy has been averted.
