A 12-year-old girl has baffled doctors and left superstitious villagers in fear she is possessed after it was revealed she cries stones instead of tears.
Yemeni girl Saadiya Saleh produces small stones beneath her eyelids where tears usually form, according to the country's Azal satellite TV channel.

Doctors say they are unable to explain the phenomenon because Saleh is not suffering from any known disease.
However, while doctors are perplexed, other villagers are in panic, where they suspect the girl is possessed by 'devil's magic' or gripped by an unsolvable disease.

“This case in the second strange phenomenon in the region," the Azal reporter said.
“The case has triggered panic in the area where this girl lives... some say the girl could be gripped by a magic spell while others say it might be the devil...others fear it could be the start of a dangerous epidemic.”
