Jeannette Chong-Aruldoss (NSP)</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> <td class="update"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> <td>
</td> </tr> <tr><td> </td></tr> </tbody></table> SINGAPORE : National Solidarity Party candidate for the Mountbatten SMC Jeannette Chong-Aruldoss has launched her five-year plan for the constituency on Tuesday.

The plan, divided into eight parts, focuses on community bonding and "heartware".

It includes setting up an alternative grassroots organisation called Residents Connect; facilitating and promoting town hall meetings to four times a year; holding career development clinics; and working with agencies to bring about education and financial awareness.

She also hopes to increase legal awareness and health education, promote zero carbon footprint on transportation and raise the appreciation of arts, culture and sports.

Mrs Chong-Aruldoss said running a town council can be harnessed by working with other opposition MPs for economies of scale.

She also believes that the Mountbatten community needs to be more united between those living in private housing and those in HDB flats, and is confident she can achieve this.
