I visited the Gardens By The Bay yesterday. That place costs S$1B? Someone has grossly profiteered from this project. I wonder whether it was GLCs or TLCs which were in charge of the project.

the cruiser ride was disappointing..the flowers were ordinary...nothing fantastic.

its a good place for family outings, better than Marina Barrage, or Botanic Garden. I didnt spend $$$ for the 2 domes, but for a short stroll and after that eating at the restaurant, its quite a decent place.

just wondering. how many singaporeans can afford to bring the family into the 2 domes and the suspension bridge which all cost quite alot to access.

obviously the money spent is not for singaporeans to enjoy. it is meant for tourists and the rich only.

there's another secret which many dunno.

there are many "volunteers" helping GBTB. do u think they get anything? cash allowance for food, transport and their valuable time?

i want to create awareness for the gross misuse of public funds. Throwing S$1B at the Gardens is sinful. Investing the S$1B would get 5% interest of $50m and saving another $53m on maintenance costs wld result in $103m a year. These $103m wld go a long way to help the poor and needy

There is free part and part that requires entrance charges.

A LOT of Pinoys today after the rain... don't they have to work the tables at the casino?????

Yes, it is very costly and expensive to build and maintained. But it is worth it. It's the world's best Green House. It gives Singapore another world landmark and another reason for tourists to come here. It adds another world class icon to the Singapore's landscape. It is worth it.

Never went in the domes lah, the ourside gardens are free, paid for the parking nia, lol
