A group of clubbers have filed a police report after they were robbed and assaulted by a group of unknown men while walking in Clarke Quay.

The thugs made off with three gold chains worth about $6,000.

The victims - three men and three women - say they were making their way from The Arena club in Clarke Quay to a taxi stand opposite Liang Court when they were suddenly attacked by a group of men at around 5.50am on Sunday.

One of the victims, who wanted to be known only as Sam, told The Straits Times that they had just decided where to have breakfast after celebrating his 30th birthday at The Arena, when he was approached by the men.
