Dressed in their party colours - 81 of them in the People's Action Party's white-on-white, and six opposition MPs in the Workers' Party sky-blue shirts - took their places on the stands of the Floating Platform alongside a 27,000-strong crowd. Everyone rose to their feet when Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong arrived in his white Mercedes-Benz to join his predecessors Lee Kuan Yew and Goh Chok Tong on the stands.
