LOS ANGELES -- Authorities say one of the FBI's 10 Most Wanted Fugitives has been captured on the border with Mexico, a man wanted in the death of his pregnant girlfriend.
Bureau spokeswoman Laura Eimiller says in a news release Monday that border agents took Philip Patrick Policarpio into custody at a San Diego port of entry Sunday as he crossed into the U.S. from Tijuana.
Policarpio is accused of fleeing Los Angeles after shooting and killing his live-in girlfriend, Lauren Olguin, in April. The FBI says they got into an argument at a friend's home. He was on parole for a 2001 conviction for assault with a firearm and other violations.
Authorities had added Policarpio to the most-wanted list earlier this month. No other information was immediately released.
