STOMPer xiao_angus spotted this woman sitting in a 'coffeeshop' way at the ICA building and was shocked at her behaviour.

The STOMPer was waiting to renew his Singapore passport when he saw her.

He wrote:

"I was waiting for my turn to renew my passport at the ICA when I saw this china woman sitting in a very 'coffeeshop' manner and talking loudy like some coffee shop uncle."

This industrial area is in such bad condition that the workers there might be in danger, says STOMPer Philomina, who spotted fire hazards and dangerous material stored in this carpark-turned-workshop.

There are no proper workstations in the area and many objects pose as fire hazards.

Philomena wonders if the authorities have checked on factories in this area and hopes that something can be done to improve the working conditions there.

In an email, the STOMPer says:

"As I was purchasing some items at Woodland Loop Blk 22 JTC Estate, I was SHOCKED to see that the whole building is very messy and may cause danger not only to the public but also employees.

"There are no proper workstations for their employees to work.

"Parking lots has been transformed into the workstation.

"Has the government conducted any spot check in these areas?

"Welding works are conducted in front of carparks surrounded by woods, tires and grease drum.

"All these objects obviously might cause a fire and obstruction.

"Looking at the foreign workers, I DOUBT whether they have valid licenses or proper training for conducting welding works.

"Most of the tenants stored all their stuff such as wood , tyres, metal and grease drums all around the carpark.

"You can hardly find a proper parking lot in the building.

"I hope that safety measures are taken to educate the tenants to practice safety measures.

"It will provide a better working environment for all the tenants and the public".
