<!-- byline display here --><!-- CONTENT NEWS: start -->A Chinese national unhappy with his former employers after a salary dispute, trespassed into a construction site and climbed to the top of a 30m crane.
The police were called in at 8.30am on Jul 4, to help rescue the 29-year-old man.
The Singapore Civil Defence (SCDF) and Ministry of Manpower (MOM) office were also despatched to the site to help with the negotiations.
After an hour and 40 minutes, the man was finally persuaded to come down from the crane.
Investigations revealed that the man had climbed to the top to express his unhappiness due to the salary dispute.
MOM said that it had already received the complaint and were looking into the matter.
He will be charged in court for criminal trespassing. If found guilty he can face up to three months in jail.
