A reader wrote to TRE on 20 February 2014 showing a video of a foreign cyclist gesturing to a local driver. He asked who has the right of way (‘Who has the right of way – angmo cyclist or car?‘).
The video was posted on Facebook: www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10152277792717533
“It’s an encounter between an angmo cyclist and a local driver. Thanks to in-car video cam, the incident was captured by the driver,” the reader said.
“You decide who has the right of way, the angmo cyclist or the local driver.”
The reader added, “I tell you, this country is really going to the dogs, all thanks to PAP’s super duper FT policy. This kind of talent, I’d rather we not have.”
“What’s the use if he is some hotshot bank analyst or even a CEO when he comes to our country and behaves this way?”
Last Wednesday (26 Feb), the Singapore Police Force posted the following on its Facebook page [Link]:
“Appeal for Information” #sgpoliceappeal
The Traffic Police are looking for the cyclist in the screenshot image to assist with investigations into a possible traffic offence which occurred on 10 February 2014 along the Thomson Road turning into Whitley Road.
