Free to air TV channels of Indo, Mal, foeign TV channels in HDB?

Singaporeans in HDB were blocked by Farkart PAP to see Malaysia, Indo and foreign TV free air TV channels for past 50 years, until internet and cable TVs are available.

Where is the freedom of choice in Singapore? Even so if private companies want to set up free to air free foreign TV channels, why not allowed?

Anything wrong to see neighbor countries free to air TV channels in HDB?

you don't understand what is free to air then? Every HDB has a central antenna and CNA is a free to air TV station.

You can't really receive free-to-air foreign channels from those HDB antennas anymore... you'll need some additional equipment of your own.

Also, local free-to-air channels are fed through the Starhub (formerly SCV) cables. Back in the day a lot of TV sets had 'rabbit ears' antenna to help boost reception.

Too bad the PAP govt had an axe to grind with dialect TV programs, and consequently removed TV 3 from cable tv.

My tv is still relying on the rooftop antenna. I have no problem with receiving Matland's TV2. I have no cable subscription and don't intend to subscribe to it.
