A Chinese woman has survived a horrific accident after a metre-long metal bar was impaled in her forehead.
Chen Xiangyun, 56, regularly uses the curved bar to pull down tree branches for use as firewood.
According to one witness, the metal skewered her head when a thick branch she was hooking sprang up in her face.
Chen was rushed to hospital after the incident and surgeons acted rapidly to remove the tool. Amazingly,
she survived the operation and is now recovering in hospital.
