Chinese authorities have arrested a suspect in a case involving the leak of information about Apple's iPhone 6, which is assembled by Taiwan's Hon Hai Group, according to Chinese media.
Hon Hai, which operates in China as Foxconn, said it will conduct an internal investigation and will cooperate fully with police in the investigation.
The suspect, a 40-year-old surnamed Qiao, was working at a Foxconn factory in Jincheng, Shanxi province, the report said.
He allegedly stole six iPhone 6 casings and sold them in a Shenzhen market in the southern province of Guangdong in June and July, according to the report.
Qiao was arrested by Chinese law enforcement authorities on Sept. 4, the report said.
Apple unveiled the new iPhone 6 on Sept. 10, but there were photos of its components and casing circulating publicly before its launch.
