Four people face life in prison after reportedly torturing a California marijuana dispensary owner with a blowtorch and severing his penis.
Ryan Anthony Kevorkian, 34, and Naomi Josette Kevorkian, 33, were taken into custody on Friday for the Newport Beach attack, KTLA reported.
Hossein Nayeri, 34, was apprehended pm Thursday in the Czech Republic and the fourth defendant, Kyle Shirakawa Handley, 34, has been in custody since October.
The four are accused of going to the victim's home on October 2, 2012 where they tied him up and tortured him in attempt to force him to reveal where he had buried piles of cash in the desert.
The victim and his girlfriend were then driven to the desert where they mutilated his genitals and poured bleach over his wounds in an attempt to destroy any DNA evidence.
The attackers left him on the side of the road, taking the severed penis with them so that it could never be reattached. His girlfriend was not hurt and was able to flag down a police car.
All four defendants were charged with kidnapping for ransom, aggravated mayhem, torture and burglary, and face a maximum life sentence without parole if convicted.
