Four arrested in raid on illegal gambling den

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested four men in a raid on an illegal gambling den in Geylang.
The suspects are aged between 29 and 57.
The four-hour police operation started at about 12.45 am on Tuesday.
One of the suspects, aged 39, is believed to have helped manage the den at an apartment along Geylang Road.
The other three suspects are believed to be patrons.
Twelve modified computers and over S$700 in cash were seized during the raid.
All four suspects will be charged in court on Wednesday.
Any person found guilty of helping to manage an illegal gambling den can be fined between S$5,000 and S$50,000.
He can also be jailed up to three years.
Any person convicted of gaming in an illegal gambling den can be fined up to S$5,000.
He can also be jailed up to six months.
