Briton apologises to woman for outrage of modesty

A Briton paid $5,000 to a woman and apologised to her for outrage of modesty.
Mr Austin Charles Arnold Cowburn, 35, a recruitment executive, had grabbed the buttocks of the 30-year-old woman at the China One nightclub.
The incident at the Clarke Quay nightspot happened on April 3 while Mr Cowburn was on holiday here.
The matter had been compounded with the Public Prosecutor's consent.
Mr Cowburn read an apology in open court. He said he apologised for any outrage of modesty suffered by the woman as a result of his inadvertent actions.
He later said he looked forward to returning to Britain to see his family.
