A FORMER officer with the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) was jailed 13 months on Monday for keeping money that he seized.
Muhammad Nur Wagiyoh, 30, had kept more than $7,000 in cash between 2009 and 2010.
As a senior investigation officer, he handled investigations involving drug offenders and would regularly deal with seized property, including drugs and cash.
The court heard that after investigations were completed, Muhammad Nur would usually return the non-cash items to the offenders, telling them that the money would be returned at a later date.
