Dear XXXXXXX,

I’d like to start by saying a heartfelt thank you for choosing us as your preferred health and fitness partner, especially as the world grappled with the far-reaching socioeconomic impacts of Covid-19. Like many businesses around Singapore – and indeed, around the world – we too faced periods of great uncertainty about the long-term sustainability and viability of our business, and had to make some difficult choices along the way.

Nonetheless, over the last 2.5 years, the multiple gym closures mandated by the government, as well as the various health and safety requirements imposed on the fitness industry resulting in unexpected associated costs such as sanitising and deep cleaning, have exerted immense pressure on our cost structures. This, coupled with the rising costs on multiple fronts including goods, services, and utilities, leaves us with little choice but to update our membership prices this year.

Hence, there will be a 7% increase in membership dues (inclusive of GST) with effect from 1 July 2022. This price adjustment will be reflected in your next billing cycle. Prior to this, our last increase in dues was in 2019. It is worth noting that starting from 1st July, new joined members will be paying $199 per month for a Lifestyle Platinum Passport Membership.

Why do people like to join gyms? Purely to keep fit or is there something more to it?

It's like a social club. Horny ones can seek out fellow horny gymmers. Take selfies of themselves working out and posting the pics and vids on social media. Flaunt your muscles, boobs and cameltoes.
