Estates not cleaned for days, town council steps in

Litter and fallen leaves lay strewn around the void decks for a few days.
Rubbish chutes stank with overflowing rubbish that was left uncleared.
The poor cleaning standards around Tampines North led many residents to complain to their MPs and the Tampines Town Council.
It turns out that a new cleaning contractor had taken over the task of maintaining the cleanliness of HDB estates in Tampines North on Oct 1.
