Roger Federer and other leading tennis players devoted the eve of the Australian Open to a fundraiser for Haiti earthquake victims in an exhibition match Sunday that raised more than AUS$200,000 (£114,000).

Whereas - Singapore Government donates whopping US$50,000 for Haiti relief efforts...

To the contrary, I congratulate the Singapore govt for standing firm on NOT encouraging individuals and even countries ( in this case ) to develop a crutch mentality.
