(Virtue) - Both The FBI as well as the Brooklyn U.S. attorney's office launched an investigation into Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) along with his administration about serious accusations alleging that officials under reported nursing homes deaths intentionally during the COVID-19 pandemic so that they could avoid political fallout.

A source confirmed to the Times that the U.S. attorney's office’s investigation in New York “is apparently in its early stages and is focusing on the work of some of the senior members of the governor's [coronavirus] task force.”

Task force members include the governor's secretary, Melissa DeRosa, who admitted on radio last week that top Democratic leaders in New York hid the complete data regarding nursing home deaths during former President Trump’s administration because of fear of him calling them out.
A spokesperson for Cuomo confirmed it.
