BMW 5 series plunges into Gerald Drive canal in wee hours of morning
This car, identified by STOMPer 8flo as a BMW 520i, took a dive in the canal at Gerald Drive after crashing and knocking over a lamp post early this morning (September 12).
According to the STOMPer, the driver had escaped unhurt and crawled out of his car and the canal before help arrived.
A crane was used to lift his submerged vehicle onto dry land.
In an email, the sender says:
"“Supposedly, this incident occurred at around 2am.
“Supposedly, the driver managed to exit the vehicle, climb out of the canal and left the scene quickly."
