According to STOMPer Lim, these bicycles were meant for patrolling his neighbourhood, but looking at the state of deflated tires and rusty bicycle chains, lim reckons that these bicycles have not been used in a long time.

The STOMPer tells us more over the phone:

"These bicycles are locked up at Boon Tiong block 2A, along Tiong Bahru road.

"All the tires are flat and the chains are rusty.

"These bicycles were meant for some neighbourhood patrol by the Residents' Committee (RC) I think.

"But I have never seen anyone using them before. And looking at the state of the equipment, I don't think they have been utilized recently.

"It's such a waste of money and effort.

"It also doesn't look good on the RC and the neighbourhood."
