[h=2]Yaacob Ibrahim: Govt has stepped up efforts to ‘engage’ Singaporeans since last election[/h]Posted by temasektimes on May 5, 2012
The government has stepped up its efforts to ‘engage’ Singaporeans since the last General Election, said Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts Yaacob Ibrahim.
“We have stepped up our engagement and there was a call for more voices to be heard and more voices to be invited in some of the processes,” Dr Yaacob said.
He added that the government is now engaging as many people as possible to seek their feedback and views before formulating a policy:
“What we have done across the government, stat boards and agencies is to engage as many people as possible before a policy is created or after a policy has been thought through to get some feedback to refine the policy.”
The government will also use social media such as Facebook and Twitter to reach out to more Singaporeans and to promote constructive debate in cyberspace.
“The more important point is to provide our point of view and also allow constructive debate to take place. It is positive because we recognise that society has changed and if society has changed, we also have to change according to the norms.”
=> Given that the 154th only provides their 'point of view' and successfully brainwashed SGs to believe only their 'point of view'? How did these $$$Million Ministers arrive at such warped conclusion? Does this not show that the FAP is by and large still in denial mode?
