They are not really malaysian. They are sarawakian. Those from peninsular malaysia are considered foreigners there and need to show ic upon entry into the state which is good for 60 days. Longer and need to apply for extension.
Flights from peninsular malaysia and sabah are considered " international" and must go through immigration.
