Even the foreigners know that the PAP is just paying lip service to tightening the FT policy. Lots of advice to apply after the elections are over.
Incidentally, expats here do not really refer to your ang mo with housing allowance and a 6 figure monthly salary. A lot of Indian, Chinese and Filipinos also consder themselves "expats" and hang out at this site.
