I saw here on Sammyboy posted by I forgot who a 7 part Taiwanese Talkshow about LKy quited MM and his history with Taiwan. Sam's fiddling with database caused it to be lost.:(

British had transformed the tiny fishing village for a hundred year into a colonial port city, which was the most well build in infrastructure in this region. Way before LKy was born.
PAp dogs had false claimed this sort of shit and fooled the Taiwanese in this show obviously.
SG before WW2, had #1 port in SE Asia, Paya Lebar Intel Airport, Changi Airbase which is today's Changi Airport, Tengar Airbase and many camps, hospitals SGH KK Changi Hosp, Alexandra hosp, many schools, factories, city and housing, reservoirs, power stations, telephone and telegraph exchanges, radio and TV broadcast stations, police and military, courts, civil services, universities, prison, custom immigration, railway & station, bus services, taxis, markets, land transport roads, bridges, causeway, water supply from Malaysia etc etc etc,
NOT by LKy old dog thief who falsely assumed credits for these things.
LKy old dog indeed ruined many of these infrastructure facilities, e.g. today railway is gone. city floods, water supply sucks, housing un-affordable, hospital too expensive and insufficient for our citizens, education is shit, we have to do our own NS, British & Canadians & Australian & Indians used to serve here as our Army Navy. LKy imported FTs, British brought Australian and Indian prisoners to work constructions here FOC.
Railway is a very strategic important connection to Asian continent to our airport and sea port, MRT can not carry goods, minerals, oil supplies, logs, sand, stone, food, live stock etc. Why Japanese had to die die construct the Rail Road of Death to Burma in the wars? Why had British die die want to bomb away that? Because of HIGH STRATEGIC VALUES.
