RACE ONE, RATED 40-10 (C5), 1,800 METRES
Rocket And Gold will benefit from the handling of Brett Prebble as he had him for two of his nine 1,200m workouts. He looks in good shape. Chantilly has been stretching out nicely since his first go at a staying trip last time and clocked good times in the process, too. Solar Wonder has been maintaining his zest for work, with sharp 400m, 800m and 1,200m pieces. He is in rock-solid shape. Jeff Lloyd has been doing all the work on Cover Boy and took the Almond Lee-trained galloper for a fluent 800m turf chute last Thursday.
RACE TWO, RATED 60-40 (C4), 1,000 METRES
Hinyuen Paladin has had a full schedule of work and his lead-up 800m gallop on Monday was a good pointer that he will run an improved race. Country Magic - now with David Hall - has done some solid workouts, including two trials. He is looking a different fellow now. New comers Honour List and Tomodachi have done some eye-catching pieces, including trials. They are fit enough to give a sight on debut.
RACE THREE, RATED 60-40 (C4), 1,200 METRES
Dr Win trialled and worked well prior to his first-up run. He has significantly come on for that outing, judging by the way he has been moving. John Moore has stepped the work into More Lucky and he has been stretching out fluently each time. All The Winners is all about speed and has been clocking slick times in the mornings. He is fit and well. Rare Treasure has been knocking on the door and has continued to work well, with Danny Shum doing most of the schooling.
RACE FOUR, RATED 60-40 (C4), 1,650 METRES
It's a shame Vilasol still hasn't put his best foot forward in his races, but he never disappoints in the mornings - demonstrating another fluent 1,200m blow-out last Friday. Amazing Sky - flashy looking fellow - has been striding out with plenty of purpose each time and should run an improved race.
Happy Cha Cha is holding his condition well and had Jeff Lloyd for a swift 800m spin last Wednesday and on Sunday. Oasis Davis once again trialled well last Tuesday and has been ticking along nicely since.
RACE FIVE, RATED 80-60 (C3), 1,200 METRES
Chevalier King has benefited a lot from his first-up outing as he breezed down the dirt straight on Monday looking extremely fit. The same can be said of Topping Light, who has been ticking along well since his first-up task. Five Clubs looks much sharper as he has been hitting the line with ease in all his 800m workouts and on Monday over 1,200m. Go Fay Fay has been a disappointment, but he has continued to do everything right and looks in tip-top shape.
RACE SIX, RATED 80-60 (C3), 1,200 METRES
Last-start winner Our Pegasus has gone on further in his work and this focused galloper has moved along with great enthusiasm. Fulfil A Wish worked and trialled well prior to his last run and has come out of it very well. He worked along nicely a few times with Felix Coetzee. If there's a surprise it will come from Caga Boy as he has strengthened up with a good dose of tough racing. He looked the part in a number of good exercises.
RACE SEVEN, RATED 100-80 (C2), 1,000 METRES
Perfect Gear should relish returning to his pet course and he has had the benefit of a quiet turf trial and a few gallops to maintain his fitness. Last-start winner St Fevre travelled under his own steam in three 800m gallops looking fit and well. Island Speed has been ticking along nicely and should relish returning to his pet trip. He looks in good order. El Zonda trialled well prior to his ordinary run last time. Nothing can be faulted in his work as he zipped through fluently each time over 800m.
RACE EIGHT, RATED 85-60 (C3), 1,650 METRES
Deposer has had three sharp 800m breezes and has come out of those well. Absolute Hedge is slowly coming back to form and looked the part when partnering Felix Coetzee last week and with John Size. Sleep Well looked in grand order when dashing home at the conclusion of his 800m gallops last Thursday and on Monday. The same can be said of Upgrading, who moved fluently in a series of 800m breezes.
