SINGAPORE: Education Minister Heng Swee Keat will be attending the 50th Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation (SEAMEO) Council Conference, the Ministry of Education announced on Tuesday (May 5).
It will take place from Wednesday to Thursday (May 6 to 7) in Pattaya, Thailand.
The Conference will also be attended by ministers from 10 other SEAMEO Member Countries, namely Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnam. They will discuss educational cooperation in the Southeast Asia region.
Mr Heng will also have bilateral meetings with his counterparts on the sidelines of the Conference, and will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Education.
