Even homeless dogs now got house to stay - how about the truly homeless leh?

This is good news because this means that there will be fewer homeless dogs in the future. The bad news, however, is that many elderly people are making the streets their home.

Whether it is a dog or a human being, any homeless living thing will bring social problems to the country.

Now that the government has agreed to solve the problem of homeless dogs, it is time they seriously look into the problem of many senior citizens in Singapore sleeping in void decks and parks.

This is not just a problem of housing. As these people represent the poorest of the poor, this problem is one of poverty. This means that there is a need to look into the physical, medical, psychological and social needs of these people, and not just shelter to come up with a holistic solution.
