EnBloc Renewal to be Restarted?

It appears eminently that the northeast is a growing WP/Opposition stronghold.

In the past PAP has been enblocing precincts and dispersing its residents thus weakening the Opposition under the guise of home renewal.

Now will PAP enbloc areas which are high in Opposition support to thwart them the next election? West Coast? East Coast? Marymount? Bukit Batok? Bukit Panjang?

Of course they will be afraid to do it to current Opposition areas as they will be openly called out. But I have my reservations. Desperate parties do desperate things.

Although rental blocks residents always consider as pap supporters but in Hougang it very different. WP did make efforts and have inroads to the poor families and many become WP supporters. Due to the voting patterns, pap knew about it and moved them out and demolished the rental blocks in Hougang ave 3 after WP had used Hougang TC funds to upgrade those blocks lifts without funding from pap. It was then pap implemented that TC upgrading must have HDB/PA approval first before upgrade or improvements can be make.

WP is very resilient, thinking out of the box in the midst of PAP's constant bullying and restriction of resources usage. In no time, WP should be able to govern Singapore like what Silvia Lim has said, if given the chance to manage one GRC WP can learned to build a strong governing team. That was 10 years ago, now they have 2 GRC and probably will have more in the near future.
