Local high pay but need pay transport, housing, CPF but unable to support the family so unhappy.

Permit holder low pay but poor transportation, poor housing enviroment, no freedom, long working hour so unhappy.

We need fair to all, so everybody will happy. Same working hour 8 X 5 = 40 hrs per week, same salary, same no reduction of CPF, same transport for working, same earning money to pay food and shelter, same get bonus for holiday (local worker) & Work Permit Holder can holiday at original home.

I READ with interest two recent newspaper reports on whether Singapore will survive beyond Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew.

This question, in fact, has been posed by many people for quite some time.

Needless to say, Singapore's success and progress today have been made possible because of the great vision and leadership of MM Lee.

It should be noted that Mr Lee had achieved remarkable things for Singapore.

His legacy will continue as long as we have a fair society giving citizens a stake and a voice, a safe and secure environment for all to earn a decent living in, full and equal opportunities for children to get a sound education and realise their potential, and harmony between people of different races and religions, so that they can live together peacefully.

While Mr Lee's eventual retirement would create a huge political vacuum, I do not believe much will change in a post-Lee Kuan Yew Singapore.

Even without Mr Lee, Singapore will continue to thrive and do well if we have leaders of quality.
