More than two million Singaporean age 25 and above can start using their $500 of SkillsFuture Credit from the Government to pay for skills-based classes from 1 Jan 2016.

This is a national movement to get Singaporeans into the spirit of lifelong learning.

SkillsFuture Credit scheme is to allow citizens to take charge of their own learning and choose from the more than 10,000 available courses. Before you are tempted into taking up courses from aggressive marketing by training providers.

Do take note of the following:

  • Skills Future Credit has no expiry date and Government will do periodic top-up when appropriate. No need to rush to utilize your SkillsFuture Credit.
  • Employer CANNOT ask you to utilize your SkillsFuture Credit to offset fees for training that your company required you to attend.

Another scheme for PAP to dish out money to their cronies. You think that $500 is for you? Fat chance. You will have to top up to make the difference and the course will be from approved centres. The approved centres are owned PAP cronies. More of your tax dollars to feed the PAP cesspool.

In the old days you could take karate classes at the community centre for just $30/month. For that amount you had 2 classes per week, so each month it was 8 classes.

How thing have changed nowadays everything is about money$$$
