CAIRO (AFP) - Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi was in talks on Tuesday with army chief Abdel Fattah al-Sisi after he snubbed an ultimatum from the armed forces to agree to the "people's demands" or face an imposed solution.
Morsi and Sisi met Tuesday, the presidency said, after days of massive nationwide protests urging the president to step down.
"The two have been in talks since this morning discussing the current crisis," a military source said.
