When I wake up today,I feel a buzz.
Nothing that I had felt before.
I scanned the mail ,and I stood tall.
It's money for the citizens, stopping COL
The monster that bugged shot in the heart.
A good start as I walk out the door
A richer, citizens,and food galores.
I ordered a dish I previously stares.
It's mine now, for my daily break.
Why I could even asked for steak.
Are we reaching a glorious state ?
Being rewarded after many years.
Buying not eyeing, instead.
And I I took a ride back on the bus.
To my happy home,a few streets back.
Nowhere else does the people fed.
And a spring inside every step.
To celebrate our 60 anniversary.
With a celebration, throughout the nation.
Truly a fabulous time,we have achieved.
Come together, forward Singapore.
And into the next,the future forever.

Vouchers thin as hope will not make things right
Cost of living still climbs with no end in view
The monster still breathes no matter what they do
I queued for lunch and checked the price in dread
A simple meal now strains the daily bread
They call it glorious and raise their flags with pride
But rising rents and bills are hard to hide
We ride the bus through fumes that sting the chest
Our nation gasps and struggles like the rest
So keep the fanfare and the staged applause
Until they face the root and fix the cause
Call this the future with a shining name
But I see hardship dressed up in a game
