S-Class Mercs in US are mostly being purchased by fake elites, who are mostly upper middle class people, like lawyers, financial market traders, doctors, and real estate agents during the property market boom. Mercs are so damn cheap there that a brand new S500 V-8 cost only about US$ 80K.The Merc showroom in S'pore still seems busy leh. Obviously the crisis has not hurt the pockets of the elites here.
The truly elites in US are being chauffeur in their Rolls Royces, Bentleys, & stretch limos..

Aiyah.. but their bentleys will cost the same as a S500 in Singapore...
So our S500 owners can also drive bentleys there..
and you must remember... US Financing is even more aggressive than ours..
Sometimes you can also lease the car and not owned it...

send them to Singapore loh....convert to Mercedes cab...alot on the road nowadays even got Bentley as cabs...KNN all for excuse to charge sky-high cab fares
