Drugged driver tries to bribe cop

He was believed to have been driving under the influence of drugs. When he tried to bribe his way out of trouble with a red packet, he was arrested.
On June 15 at about 7.20pm, Sergeant Hairelrizal Bin Hashim attended to an accident involving a car which had hit a tree along Bishan Road towards the direction of Braddell Road.
The sergeant noticed that the driver was slurred in speech and believed that he had been driving under the influence of drugs.
The driver offered the sergeant with a red packet in exchange for his release, but the sergeant rejected the bribe and arrested him.
The driver has been referred to the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) for the offence of bribery.
