The duo wore t-shirts thanking the former South African President but will not be sanctioned for displaying political messages

Galatasaray duo Didier Drogba and Emmanuel Eboue will not face any further action for their tribute to Nelson Mandela in the wake of their win over Elazigspor.

The Cote d'Ivoire internationals revealed shirts saying "Thank you, Madiba" after the match, but failed to get permission from the Super Lig authorities to display a personal message.

It was reported that they would both be sanctioned for the tribute. However, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has announced that no further action will be taken.

"The supposed breach of the rules has not actually happened, so there is no need for any action," a statement from the governing body's disciplinary panel read.

Galatasaray were quick to show their support for both players by showing a picture of the late President of South Africa on the outside of the stadium.
